  • uppity datity

    Hey Xangites or whoever still reads this.

    Current status: Frustrated with co-workers and excited that i am free of them for a week!

    Current events: I am going to TN for a week starting to tomorrow!
    also I went to see New Moon and I will do a *little* ranting later..(it really was pretty good taylor did a phenomenal job btw)
    My hair now looks like Alice so thats different..9 1/2 inches were cut off but I think it looks better now.
    Theatre has slowed down for now but classes are getting nutty. I have a choir concert the first week of december....*sigh*
    I got called for Jury Duty...in Toledo...I don't live in Toledo...district court....but they pay me $40 a day and .55 a mile...I can deal

    Rant: Todays rant is brought to you by Terra Community College and the class called STATE OF THE ART

    Hi guys todays rant is about my class State of the Art.
    When I filled out my paperwork at the beginning of the year my voice type was placed as Soprano 1. I have been trained as a Soprano 1 for years now.
    I am a STRONG soprano....but do you think I am singing Soprano 1?..nope..no friends I am singing ALTO...Flipping ALTO! I am VERY Uncomfortable singing alto.
    Now maybe Mike is trying to get me out of my shell and make me stronger..or he doesnt have enough altos and I would suffice. Except that I don't. Singing is supposed to be my safe
    haven where I can relax and let go of work issues...But now my B/P is dropping at school due to stress..mainly of my malcontent with Alto. Talking to my professor doesnt help as I dont see an end to the ALTO in sight
    So I will prolly be dropping the class...he has enough altos and unless I start singing in my happy range..i'm not really needed or wanted...and I wont stay where I'm not wanted.

    such is life...

  • In Response to JohnKlein plus an update

    I know the feeling. But I will truly miss your blogs because I enjoy reading about the 5 year summer because all of these people were a part of my life then and many came into my life through SWP and it's nice to relive my own memories through reading yours. You have this wonderful way of describing things that I really feel as if i was there too. I came to the group a year too late but I'll always feel like I belonged. Please keep your xanga if for no other reason than for the rest of us to come back and remember.

    Got the understudy of Leah.
    Auditioning for Fiddler on the roof.
    Royal Oak music Theatre on the 17th of october for Rocky Horror..i'm playing Columbia
    Civil war re-enactment was awesome as usual.

    I've had the plague for nearly 2 months and that kinda sucks..but ohh weelll.

    Halloween is coming up soon I have considered dressing up like one of the Charles Manson "family" members because they have been so relevant lately..
    I have sooo many options but i wanna do something people will actually get.

    any suggestions?

  • Wow I am such a horrible person

    I havent updated this in awhile.

    Ok so heres a recap....

    Cinderella opens this weekend. Come see it..I.Dare.You.

    Next week is Sweeney Todd auditions in Bellevue. We'll see.

    Running around like a mad woman chasing the little demon children at the theatre.
    Mind you I have never been a supporter of giving young children Ritalin or other sedative drugs but wow I am REALLY considering it now.

    *RANT* Please do not bring your children into the theatre without first giving them some helpful pointers on etiquette . Really people its quite basic.

    Don't run around unless it's a directors note.
    Don't eat in costume
    Don't talk while backstage.
    If the prop is not yours  DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!!
    Likewise no eating of the props.
    Bring something to keep you busy and quiet.
    Be where you are supposed to be for your entrance..nobody wants to have to find you.


    there are more but my mind is mush right now.
    you get the point.
